The Surprising Thing Women Gain When They Finally Learn How to Sell

SMALL BUSINESS GROWTH TOOLS PODCAST - EPISODE 119

When most people think about sales training, they expect to learn what to say, how to handle objections, or how to close more deals.

Of course they learned those things. However, after leading the first Sell With Confidence Challenge, I noticed something surprising.

The biggest transformation wasn't sales. It was leadership.

The women inside the challenge didn't leave saying they had learned how to be more persuasive or more salesy. Instead, they talked about becoming better communicators, feeling more prepared for conversations, and realizing they were genuinely helping people instead of bothering them.

One participant shared that she had always felt awkward during first meetings. After learning how to prepare for sales conversations, she realized confidence comes from being prepared.

Another participant said she stopped thinking about sales as "I have a product and you're the buyer." Instead, she began focusing on how her work could help solve someone's problem. That shift changed everything.

Many Christian women in business don't struggle with integrity. They struggle with permission.

Permission to lead.

Permission to ask questions.

Permission to guide someone toward a decision.

Permission to confidently explain the value they provide.

The truth is that confidence isn't something you're born with. Confidence is built through preparation, practice, and experience. The more prepared you are, the more naturally confidence shows up.

Sales also becomes much easier when you stop viewing it as pressure and start viewing it as service. Every day, people are making decisions about who they will hire and who they will trust. Learning how to lead those conversations is one of the most valuable skills you can develop as a business owner.

The women inside Sell With Confidence learned how to prepare, how to serve, and how to communicate more effectively. Those three skills transformed the way they showed up in sales conversations and in their businesses.

If sales conversations have ever felt awkward, uncomfortable, or intimidating, this episode will help you understand why.

Listen to the full episode below to discover the three mindset shifts that helped these women become stronger communicators, stronger leaders, and more confident business owners.
