Why Christian Women Need Business Community

Building a business can be one of the most rewarding things you'll ever do. It can also be one of the loneliest.

As business owners, we're expected to have the answers. We carry the weight of making decisions, serving clients, leading our businesses, and often balancing family, faith, and responsibilities that most people never see.

That's why I believe Christian women in business don't just need networking — they need community.

A place where they're known, challenged, encouraged and leave stronger than when they arrived.

That's why I created The Leaders' Table.

Success Was Never Meant to Be Built Alone

One of the greatest lies business owners believe is: "I have to figure this out on my own."

Somewhere along the way, women started celebrating independence and reliance on ourselves rather than leaning on community and God.

But that's not how God designed us.

Throughout Scripture, we see people growing together, encouraging one another, carrying one another's burdens, and sharpening one another's character.

Business shouldn't be any different. We should go to God (more than AI) and step out in faith. We should also lean on the people around us.

You can read every business book, listen to every podcast, and take every online course but nothing replaces sitting across the table from someone who understands the weight of leadership because they're carrying it too.

Community Gives You More Than Connections

When people hear the word networking, they often think about referrals. While referrals are wonderful, they're only one benefit of meaningful relationships. The right business community gives you something much more valuable.

It gives you perspective.

Sometimes you need someone to celebrate the win you haven't stopped long enough to celebrate yourself. Sometimes you need someone to ask the hard question you've been avoiding. Sometimes you simply need to hear, "You're not the only one who's been there."

Those moments don't happen because you attended another networking event. They happen because you've invested in relationships.

Iron Sharpens Iron

One of my favorite verses about leadership is Proverbs 27:17:

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

I've always loved that picture because sharpening isn't passive. It requires friction.

Growth isn't always comfortable. Sometimes the greatest gift another business owner gives you isn't encouragement.

It's honesty.

It's asking,"Have you thought about this differently?"

It's helping you see opportunities you couldn't see on your own.

It's believing in you before you're ready to believe in yourself.

That's what community does.

Relationships Change the Way You Lead

I've coached women who had all the right strategies - the right pricing, the right marketing, the right offers and they were still missing something.

They didn't have people around them who challenged them to think bigger.

Leadership isn't developed in isolation. It's developed in conversation.

When you surround yourself with women who lead with integrity, generosity, and wisdom, you naturally begin to grow in those areas too. That's why I believe the people around your table matter.

Why Faith Changes Everything

One of the things I love most about gathering with Christian women is knowing we share something deeper than business. We share a desire to steward what God has entrusted to us well. That doesn't mean every woman has the same story or the same business or the same experiences.

It means we're united by a desire to lead with integrity, serve people well, and use our businesses to make an impact.

Business becomes more meaningful when it's connected to purpose. Community reminds us of that.

Why The Leaders' Table Exists

When I envisioned The Leaders' Table, I wasn't trying to create another networking organization. I wanted to create the kind of community I wished more women had: A place where Christian women business owners could gather around the table to encourage one another, challenge one another, celebrate wins, and faithfully steward the businesses God had entrusted to them.

Yes, business opportunities happen.

Yes, collaborations are formed.

Yes, friendships grow.

But those things happen because relationships come first.

That's what makes The Leaders' Table different. It's more than networking.

It's a place to be sharpened.
